The Hope Thief...

"Some years ago, a hydroelectric dam was to be built across a valley in New England. The people in a small town in the valley were to be relocated because the town itself would be submerged when the dam was finished. During the time between the decision to build the dam and its completion, the buildings in the town, which previously were kept up nicely, fell into disrepair. Instead of being a pretty little town, it became an eyesore.

Why did this happen? The answer is simple. As one resident said, "Where there is no faith in the future, there is no work in the present."*

The devil knows that he cannot change God. God always remains faithful; HE is the firm foundation, our source of hope, our provider, our healer and much more! The only thing the devil can do is bring dark clouds over our lives that prevent us from seeing the reality. When we are in a dense fog, all we see is clouds. In these times, we must walk by faith! Our God has not changed! He is still there and is still faithful! I have found that, in the cloudy times of life, the only way to get the right perspective back is to spend time with God until you break through. When HE reveals himself in His glory, all things come back into perspective. My friend, don't let your future be compromised because of a few clouds.

When was the last time you stayed in God's presence until you got your breakthrough?

Proverbs 29:18 - "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he." (KJV)
